In recent weeks, Say Ça! was finalizing the third stage of its tutoring and group workshops program. As part of the monthly cultural outing program of July, Say Ça! spent a nice day at Mount Royal park, savoring the beauty of the location. Also during that period, students and volunteers participated in various pleasant and challenging activities in the classroom, which further improved their French language skills. While French tutoring lessons focused on matters such as oral proficiency and grammar — last month’s theme being the library — group workshops were focused on helping students plunge into a self or group project that reflects their personal interests.
With that being said, students proposed many suggestions such as producing; a short video, a photo comics or simply taking pictures of anything that is of significance to them. Each group (or individual) will look to achieve a unique project, with the common denominator being to promote their culture and their passions. By the end of this adventure, our youngsters will have accomplished something that they can be proud of.
Capping off the third phase, the Say Ça! team enjoyed a beautiful day at the Lachine Canal in this month’s cultural outing. Students and volunteers engaged in friendly games at the park, while audaciously navigating through the canal with pedal-boats and canoes.
The fourth phase is due to start in September, perpetuating on the good achievements made in the previous one. As for now, Say Ça! would like to wish its students a happy return back to their academic obligations!
See you all again soon!
