On Saturday May 20th we participated, for the second year in a row, in Montreal’s Restaurant Day. We set up our table on Rachel and Fabre at Parc La Fontaine as volunteers and students alike arrived with their favourite homemade dishes to sell on this sunny Saturday afternoon. We welcomed Montrealers, friends and our families in a fun event that drew us closer to our community!
As some of our motivated students reached out to people passing by, others set up the menu or helped at the table by selling the food. Meanwhile, another group of students selected the music that we enjoyed during the sunny afternoon as others set up a game of soccer. Later on, we received the visit of singer Sebastien Dujardin, who sang for everyone gathered at the park. Our new friends Azad and Rich also joined us at the park with their Virtual Reality glasses, which wowed the students and attendees alike.
We would like to thank Equitas for contributing into making this afternoon a success as well as everyone who stopped by to enjoy some of the delicious food we offered. Thanks to the hard work of our students and volunteers, we were able to raise over $450! Big smiles, dancing and great food made this afternoon one that we will remember for many months to come!
